BREATHE is a set of three large, breathing whale-like robots. Each robot is constructed from two fans mounted in opposite directions so that the robot is able to actively inhale and exhale. Their bodies are made of clear plastic which inflates and deflates as they breathe, filling the space around them. Controlled via 6x relays connected to a PC these robots act like a small community of large beings huddling in close proximity. BREATHE reference majestic creatures of the deep whose ancient technical perfection was complete, yet whose legacy has faded over millennia where only a few such robots remain.
